It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Ethel Marliin of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Bishop Henry Nathaniel Adkins, Sr.; and her husband Samuel Marlin. She is survived by: her mother Jean Delores Propst Adkins of Spencer; her sons, Lloyd Avery Allen (Kira) of Mooresville and Leroy Haskins III of Lexington; her grandchildren, Juicy, Huggie, Keon and Countney; and her siblings, Rosa L. Adkins of Spencer, Elizabeth A. Cowan (Michael) of Salisbury, Benita Adkins of Lexington, Emma Hamilton of High Point, John R. Adkins Sr. (Eloise) of Salisbury and Nathaniel Adkins Jr. (Von) of Salisbury. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
