Mattie Lee Compton Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 19, 2023, at the age of 93, Mattie Lee Compton of Lexington, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Leroy Edwards, Sr. and Viola Mae Glascoe Edwards; her husband Clyde Walter Disher, Sr.; her former husband Raymond "Rooster" Mason Compton; her children, Clyde "Sonny" Walter Disher, Jr. and Vickie Ann Disher Wooten; and her sister-in-law Lynn Edwards.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bill Edwards, Eva Mae Williams, Shirley Roberts, Kay Rudisill, Bobbie Jo Harper and Bobbie Jo's; her daughter-in-law Karen Disher; her brothers-in-law, Mike Smith, Richard "Buck" Williams, Harold Roberts, Don Wilhelm, Lonnie Bragg and Robert Rudisill; her sisters, Margie Wilhelm, Sylvia Bragg and Jackie Smith; Steve. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
