He is survived by: his wife Wilma Jean Parker Brooks; his son Melvin Moultrie; his stepchildren, Marshall Parker, Marcus Parker, Pamela Parker and Cassandra Carpenter; and his siblings, Evangeline Williams, Elizabeth Whitehead, Mary Fields, Barbara Phelps, Pearl Smith, Annie Smith, Betty Smith, Ronald Lee Brooks, James Brooks and Marvin Smith. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
