Roberts; and his aunts and uncles, William "Boney" Martin, Clarence "Scoop" Martin, Raymond "Boot" Martin, John Ray "Blackie" Martin, Hattie Mae "Dee" Clodfelter, Lennis Thompson, Annabelle Dalton, Mary Scales and Emmastine Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Roberts; and his children, Darlene Randleman (Dexter), Brenda Hargrave (Roy), Antwannia Roberts, Shekera Roberts, Melvin Roberts, Jr. (Lashunda) of Lexington, David Roberts of Lexington and James Roberts (Susie) of Lexington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
