She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezell Gist and Asilize Renwick Gist; and her sister Elsa Gist. She is survived by: her children, Rev. Stanley Rice (Cynthia), Ernestine White and Christopher Gist; her friend Ben Richards; and her goddaughters, Pam Keck and Eileen Summer. She is also survived by six grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
