She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Evans and Wilma Riegel Evans; and her husband Roger. She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey Nelson (Tracey) of Lexington and Cindy West (David) of Johnstown, OH; her siblings, Wallace Evans (Sylvia) and Christine Cassada (Jesse) of Elko, GA; and her grandsons, Evan Poling (Lauren) of Phoenix, AZ and Eric Poling of Newark, OH..
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sheets Memorial Baptist Church (210 Cotton Grove Rd, Lexington, NC 27292).
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the National Alzheimer's Association.
