He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward "Ned" Griffin and Margaret "Maggie" Bailey Griffin; his wife Loretta M. Griffin; and his siblings, Eamonn Griffin, Colm Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, Stephen Griffin, Maureen Curran and Aine Staunton.
He is survived by: his sons, Sean P. Griffin and Eamonn M. Griffin (Tess); his grandchild Finn; his son Patrick T. Griffin; his siblings, Johnny (Mary Griffin), Barbara (John Richardson), Margo (Michael Donohue), Tony (Gwenda Griffin) and Noreen Griffin (Martina Griffin); his siblings-in-law, Joanne Kenny, Thomas, Jeanne Kenny, Kevin and Clare Kenny; his extended family, Greg Gallagher and Carol Hall Kenny; and his friend Bill Bonomo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church (619 S Main St, Lexington, NC 27292). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
