He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Thomas Mason and Eva Christine Walker Mason; and his brother Bruce Mason. He is survived by: his wife Brenda C. Mason; his children, Tommy Mason (Debbie) of Lexington and Brenda Ward (Larry) of Lexington; his stepsons, Erik Kirton of Berlin Germany, Kevin Kirton of Asheville, NC and Kris Kirton of Asheville, NC; his siblings, Rex Mason of High Point, Jimmy Mason (Connie) of Troy and Marie Sheppard of Troy; his grandchildren, Larry Ward, Jr. (Ariel), Brianne Brewer (Justin), Shawn Ward (Nicole), Brooke Mason (Rocky Suits) and Alisha Ward (Miguel); his great grandchildren, Caitlyn Brewer, Carrigan Brewer, Jasmine Ward (Rylan), Vincent Suits (Mary), Leland Suits, Isla Ward and Sierra Ward; and his great great grandchild Dallas Suits.
