She was predeceased by: her husband Lindsay Owens; her sons, Steve Owens and Todd Owens; her parents, Gould Wilburn Hedrick and Lucille McDaniel Hedrick; and her siblings, Geraldine Shoaf, Coy Hedrick and Hoyle Hedrick.

She is survived by: her daughter Mitzi Summerlin; her son-in-law Jerry Summerlin; and her grandchildren, Carah Summerlin and Kaley Summerlin.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
