He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oliver Brooks and Mollie Gregg Brooks; his son Michael "Dane" Brooks; his sister Linda Sue Davis; and his grandchild Molleigh Cheyenne Dublin.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Whittington Brooks; his daughter Amanda "Mandi" Brooks Dublin; and his grandchildren, Addison Faith Dublin and Grayson Michael Dublin.
