She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Harold and Vera Trexler Penninger. She is survived by: her husband John Carlton Willis, Jr.; her children, Carl Willis (Melissa) of Martinez, Charlie Willis (Lori) of Lexington, NC and Amy McLamb (Dan) of Efland, NC; her brother Nelson Penninger (Teresa) of Lexington; and her grandchildren, Mattie Paige Willis, Juliana Willis, Luke Willis, Kate Willis, Ella Willis, Tess McLamb and Phillip McLamb.
