He is survived by: his wife Ferry Lane; his children, Richard David Lowder II of Winston-Salem, Jeffrey Mark Lowder (Suzanne) of Advance, Britt Lane Gordon of Burlington and Peter Austin Lowder (Amy) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Tripp (Allie), Trace Gordon, Emma Rose, Peter Bennett, Charles Austin Lowder and Summer Lane Lowder; his great grandchild Chip Gordon; Andrew Vinson, Collin Vinson, Bryant, McKenzie Vinson and Miles.
