It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick Benfield of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on September 2, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rick Benfield to pay them a last tribute.
Though Rick may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rick touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Benfield and Lorene Martin Benfield. He is survived by: his children, Andy Benfield (Kelli) of Lewisville and Cherlene Stout (Matthew) of Winston-Salem; his sisters, Rebecca Griffith (Jeff) of Myrtle Beach and Sandy Riddle of Matthews; and his grandchildren, Ethan Stout, Abby Robles (Daniel) and Isabel Benfield.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Forest Hill Memorial Park (1307 W Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27295).
