It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Gray Shoaf of Lexington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 22, 2023, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Osco Shoaf and Ida Mae Sowers Shoaf; and his brother Pvt. Roy Lee Shoaf. He is survived by: his siblings, Lonnie Shoaf, Tommy Shoaf, Elizabeth Carter, Anna Mae Smith, Frances Rothrock and Hazel Marsh; his wife Sue Murphy Shoaf; his children, Robert Shoaf Jr. (Summer) of Lexington, Angie Crook (Lee) of Lexington, Lori Tysinger Robertson (Tim) of Lexington and Cathy Berrier (Travis) of Winston Salem; his sister Margie Shoaf Vanhoy of Mooresville; his sister-in-law Cynthia Shoaf of Lexington; his grandchildren, Christopher Crook, Aaron Crook, Austin Tysinger, Sarah Tysinger, Lilly Shoaf, Elaina Shoaf, Jacob Shoaf, Rayford Berrier and Kindley Mae Ida Berrier; and his great grandchild Arabella Rose Shoaf. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
