He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius "Jim" Vanderbilt Talley and Pauline Fisher Talley Pangle; his wife Betty Jo Perry Talley; and his siblings, Melvin Talley and Lillian Faye Utterback.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Talley, Jr. (Debbie) of Kernersville, NC and Carolyn Ball (Michael) of Winterville, NC; his grandchildren, Tiffani Martin (David), Lauren Anderson (Spencer), Courtney James (Devon), Lindsey Ball and Reese McCormick; his great grandchildren, Raelynn Martin, Dawson James, Saylor Anderson, Easton Martin and Talon James; his sisters-in-law, Libby Talley and Sherri Dalton; and his cousin Patsy Matheny.
