She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Blackwell and Bertha Lee Broome Canup; and her children, Vera Owens and James Ellington Long. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Smith (Terry) of Salisbury, Robert Long (Kathy) of China Grove, Michael David Long of Lexington and Randy Byrd (Vonice) of Florida; and her sister Ruth Duckett of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren, and 20 great great-grandchildren.
