He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah Luther "Luke" Welch and Charlene Isabel Perrell Welch; his sister Kay Cole (Max); and his brother-in-law Joe Starbuck. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Welch; his daughters, Melissa Leonard (Johnny) and Amy Howard (Andrew); his grandchildren, Brayden Leonard, Blake Leonard, Madi Howard, Luke Howard and Ellie Kate Howard; and his siblings, Mike Welch (Kathy), Andy Welch, Pam Starbuck and Cara Leslie (Al).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel (858 Hickory Tree Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27127). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (3305 Peters Creek Pkwy, Winston-Salem, NC 27127).
