With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Lee Hicks (Lexington, North Carolina), who passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Robert Shoemaker and Jane Elizabeth Wagner Shoemaker; and her children, Matthew Lawrence Nagel and Corrine Lee Macemore. She is survived by: her husband W. Lee Hicks; her children, Brett Nagel (Wendy), Randall Nagel (Vivian) and Tamara Nagel (Frank); her stepson Richard Scott Hicks; and her siblings, Fran Olday, Brenda Penzes, Sharon Pitzonka, Karen Culler, Jean Mason, John Shoemaker, Jim Shoemaker and Beth Ann Shoemaker.
