She was predeceased by: her father Arvil Wilson Alexander Burkhart; and her husband Tolbert Eugene Smith Sr.. She is survived by: her mother Francis McCulloch Burkhart; her children, Teresa "Tink" Wallace (Bobbie Nicole), Windy Berrier (Charles) of Lexington, James Wallace of Lexington and Joe Wallace (Melody); her siblings, Artie Herbert Burkhart of Lexington and Sheila Dawn Burkhart Cannon of Salisbury; her grandchildren, Brandon Berrier (Tiffni), Amber Decker (Justin), Cesalee Brannon (Marion), Skylar Wallace, Jade Burleson (James), Justin Wallace and Ian Strunk (Molley); and her pets, African Gray Parrot, Rambo, Marley and JuJu.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Freedom Baptist Church, 214 Hillcrest Court, Lexington, NC 27292.
