It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Smith (Lexington, North Carolina), born in Davidson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Earl Friday and Evelyn Anthony Friday; and her siblings, Herbert Friday and Evelyn "Ree" Friday. She is survived by: her children, Tony L. Friday, Anthony L. Friday and Crystal M. Smith Coleman; her grandchildren, Elijah, E'Kayla and Emmanuel; her siblings, Herman Ray Friday (Jessie Mae), James E. Friday, Jr. (Diane), Mark K. Friday, Betty Sturdivant and Teresa Friday; her aunts, Adelaid Talbert, Carrie Poole, Ann Davis and Mary Montgomery; and her close friend Robert "Pop Corn" White. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
