With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sherill Jernigan (Lexington, North Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Sherill may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his father Tony Ray Made (Loretta Nobles); his son Michael Jernigan (Naomi Davis); his brother Gerold Jernigan (Linda); and his grandchildren, Jupiter Jernigan and Gwendolyn Jernigan. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.
