He is survived by: his wife Patricia Thompson; his children, Eddie Thompson (Jennifer) of Lexington, Melinda Thompson (Ryan) of Lexington and Kristina Kinley (David) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Gracie, Makinley, Emma, Devon and Cameron; and his brother-in-law Robert Yoder. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
