With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Susan Josey Bess of Lexington, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Susan left this world on August 9, 2025 at the age of 72, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Edger Josey and Ruby Fox Josey of Statesville; her siblings, Glenn Josey, Jr., Shelby and Deborah Josey; and her daughter Cammie Bess.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Bess; her daughters, Lauren Redmond (Todd) of Clemmons, NC and Alicia Bartosch (Geoff) of Huntersville, NC; her grandchildren, Haley Redmond, Hudson, Lydia and Adelynn Bartosch; her pets, Sunshine and Roxy; and her cousin Melissa "Lissie" Fox. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family.
