He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Edward Fowler, Sr. and Dorothy Geneva Bryson Fowler; his grandson Joshua Lanier; and his siblings, Roy Edward "RJ" Fowler, Jr., Bobby Joe Fowler, Charles William Fowler and Sarah Bernice Parker.

He is survived by: his children, Christina Huffman (Mark), Tonya Mahala (James) and Tommy Fisher (Cole); his grandchildren, Kristie Fowler, Justin Shaw, Christopher Cannady, Samantha Harrington, Logan Owens and Brooklyn White; and his brothers, Billy Joe Fowler (Barbara) and Johnny Albert Fowler (Joyce). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
