He was predeceased by: his parents, George Applebee and Edna Applebee; his wife Patsy Applebee; his son Steven Applebee; and his brother Carroll Applebee.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Applebee (Wanda) of Carolina Beach, NC, Mark Shell (Heather) of Morganton, NC and Amy Bentley-Clodfelter (Bobby) of Lexington, NC.; and his sister Ruby Davison of Pelhem, NC. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
