She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Winberg Barker and Bessie Paige Barker; her husband Phillip Travis Passmore, Jr.; and her siblings, Charles Winberg Barker, Jr., Franklin "Buddy" Barker, Geneva Lanning, Kate Christopher, Dixie Thomason, Helen Jarrell, Dorothy Overcash and Nancy Caughron.
She is survived by: her son Mark Travis Passmore. She is also survived by her sister.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church or Hospice of Davidson County, organizations that held special significance in Virginia's life.
