He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin "Frank" Heffner and Mae Rene Hauser Heffner; and his sister Lucy Heffner Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Judy Theimer Heffner; his sons, William Benjamin Heffner of Raleigh, NC and Joseph Lee Fleming (Audrey) of Lexington, NC.; and his sister Sylvia Earnhardt (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Reformed United Church of Christ (104 E Center St, Lexington, NC 27292).
