She was predeceased by: her parents, James Virgil and Lessie Thomas O'Briant; her husband Harmon Byard Humble; her son Phillip Craig Humble; her daughter-in-law Charlene Humble; and her sisters, Foylee Pickard, Sarah Faye O'Briant, Mary Elizabeth Poe, Sue O'Briant, Hazel Poe and Ruby O'Briant Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa Marshall (Jeff) and Dale Humble (Libby); her granddaughter Eliza Marshall; her goddaughter Andrea Yeager (Greg) of Maryland; and her sisters, Jean Baran (Tony) of Maryland and Marie Ferguson (Frank) of Liberty. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home (212 W Swannanoa Ave, Liberty, NC 27298). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Smithwood Christian Church (6809 Kimesville Rd, Liberty, NC 27298). A burial will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at the Smithwood Christian Church Cemetery (6809 Kimesville Rd, Liberty, NC 27298).
