She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Staley and Dutoy Jenkins Staley; and her brothers, Jerry, Eugene and Preston Staley.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Anne Dunn and Charles Edward Dunn; her siblings, Sheila Staley Kirkman and Grady Staley (Brenda); and her close friends, Keith and Brandi Smith.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty (212 W Swannanoa Ave, Liberty, NC 27298). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park (6504 Liberty Rd, Julian, NC 27283).
