He was predeceased by : his son David Lee Daniels; his parents, Curtis Payne and Evelyn Williams; and his brother Steve Morphis. He is survived by : his significant other Deborah Payne; his son Charlie Payne; his grandsons, David and Curtis Payne; his siblings, Johnny Stovall (Teresa) of Mocksville, NC and Kennie Wright of Archdale, NC; and his niece Christy Morphis Hall (Chad) of Reidsville, NC.. He is also survived by nephews, and cousins.
