He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernie Delmar and Nettie Pike Hinshaw; his wife Tobie Roberson Hinshaw; and his brothers, J. D. Hinshaw and Calvin Hinshaw.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Leigh Hinshaw and William David Hinshaw; and his granddaughter Lindsay Hinshaw.
