David Lee Porter Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Lee Porter of Lillington, North Carolina, who passed away on May 29, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, David shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid David farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Richard and Beulah Mae Lanier Porter; and his daughter Darlene Evelyn Porter. He is survived by: his wife Betty Evelyn Porter; his sons, David L. Porter (Darlenena) and Melvin Porter (Mark Sutton); his grandchildren, Meghan Porter, Mickayla Weaver, Michael Porter and Samuel Porter; and his great grandchild Gracen Lee Weaver. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM.
