She is survived by: her daughter Deborah Elizabeth Jernigan Currin (Nelson) of Lillington; her daughter-in-law Debra Holt Jernigan of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Bodie Currin (Allison) of Lillington, Eric Currin (Cindy) of Lillington, Brandon Currin (Libby) of Lillington, Catherine Currin Burgess (Eddie) of Lillington, Scott Jernigan (Erin) of Four Oaks, Ashley Jernigan McLamb (Joseph) of Fremont, Nicole Jernigan Foster (Michael) of Raleigh, Dustan Jernigan Wilkes of Sanford, Bethany Jernigan Wade (Jason) of Colorado and Kimberly Jernigan Cantu of Dunn; her children, Rodney and Sherrie; and her friends, Eddie and Catherine Burgess.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the O'Quinn Peebles Phillips Funeral Home (1310 S Main St, Lillington, NC 27546). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at the Banner Chapel Advent Christian Church (600 S 15th St, Erwin, NC 28339).
