With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Michael Matthews of Lillington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 61. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Matthews and Carolyn Baker Matthews. He is survived by: his wife Denise Blackmon Matthews; his brother Jeffrey Matthews; his uncle Jerry Baker (Elaine); and his aunt Faye Arnold. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
