James Lewis Smith Obituary
We announce the death of James Lewis Smith of Lillington, North Carolina, who passed away on June 6, 2026, at the age of 85. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Bethea Smith and Flora Mae Black Smith; his wife Judy Clifton Smith; his son Danny Lewis Smith; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Smith, Alvin Roosevelt Smith, Christine Vinson, Lillian Moore and Virginia "Jean" Upchurch.
He is survived by: his sister Vivian Smith; his sons, Scott McKinley Smith (April) and Paul Bethea Smith; his grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Brandon Smith (Whitney) and Stormy Smith; and his pet Molly. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
