We bid farewell to John Paul Carr of Lillington, North Carolina, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 28, 2025 at the age of 91. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Carr and Alberta Carr; and his wives, Patricia J. Carr and Margaret Shepard. He is survived by: his children, John P. Carr Jr., Richard A. Carr Sr., Leonard J. Carr, Patricia Mason, Jill Yocum and Jan Saylor. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the O'Quinn-Peebles-Phillips Funeral Home (1310 S Main St, Lillington, NC 27546). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Saint Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church (901 N Franklin Dr, Sanford, NC 27330). A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Westview Cemetery (2264 421, Lillington, NC 27546).
