He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Byrd Murchison of Lillington, NC; his sons, Edward Betts Murchison (Diana) of Lillington and Kenneth Scott Murchison (Lynn) of Lillington; his sister Elizabeth Murchison Brand of Charlotte, NC.; and his grandchildren, Scotty Murchison (David Bond) of Los Angeles, CA, Tyler Murchison (Nicole) of Lillington, NC and Erin Murchison Mulenex (Chris) of Wendell, NC..
