He was predeceased by: his parents, L. E. McKnight, Jr. and Mary Margaret Lanier McKnight. He is survived by: his siblings, David McKnight (Jan) of Angier and Sarah Boone (Holt) of Whispering Pines; and his nieces and nephews, Miles McKnight of Angier, Wes Boone (Natalie Romig) of Seattle, Washington, Kristen Lohnes (Jer) of Virginia Beach, Emily Boone (Hunter Soper) of Kitchener, Ontario, Mac and Evie Boone Soper.
