Michelle Renee Short Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michelle Renee Short of Lillington, North Carolina, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Michelle is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Michelle's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She is survived by: her parents, Michael Fuka and Alessandra Fuka; her husband Billy Douglas Short (Doug); her daughter Kailee Breann Mace (Matt Mace); her granddaughters, Flora and Vivian; her sons, Nathaniel Parker Short (Beth) and Benjamin Joel Short (Kaitlyn); and her pets, Amelia and Primrose.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Covenant Reformed Baptist Church (29 E Wray St, Angier, NC 27501). A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Westview Cemetery (2264 421, Lillington, NC 27546).
