With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Selma Cummings of Lillington, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Selma left this world on September 1, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Puzie and Verta Cox Lett; her husband Lee Winfred Cummings; her siblings, Gladys Lett, Esther Yarborough, Cleo Byrd, Alice Womack, Violet Gilmore, Betty Garner, Puzie Doyle "Bud" Lett and Gilbert Lett; and her siblings' children, Maxine Patterson and Lux Lett.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Temple (Bobby) of Lillington, Bonnie Thomas (Donnie) of Sanford and Scott Cummings (Vicki) of Fayetteville; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Thomas, Tina Rawls, Mary Temple, Hank Cummings and Lauren Cummings. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Raven Rock Presbyterian Church (1440 Raven Rock Rd, Lillington, NC 27546). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 4th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
