Thadean Moore Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on February 25, 2026, at the age of 96, Thadean Moore (Lillington, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Puryear (Archie Puryear) and Rebecca Ann Wood Puryear; her husband Milton Moore, Jr.; her son Melvin Ray Moore; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Dianne Reynolds Snow.

She is survived by: her sister Joyce Puryear Holder (Elbert) of Broadway, NC; her daughters, Sandra Dianne Moore of Broadway, NC, Donna Moore Hooper (James) of Broadway, NC and Karen Moore Farr (Chris) of Chesapeake, VA; her daughter-in-law Beverly Moore of Broadway, NC.; her grandchildren, Larry Reynolds (Samantha) of Broadway, NC, Timothy Hooper (Fran) of Sanford, NC, Matthew Hooper of Broadway, NC, Andrew Hooper (Ashley) of Hamptonville, NC, Rachel Farr of Fredrick, MD, Sarah, Joshua and Lydia Farr of Chesapeake, VA.; her great grandchild Megan West of Florida; and her great great grandchildren, Paisley, Athena Greene of Broadway, NC. and Raynie Alder of Iowa.
