She was predeceased by: her parents, Rush Sherrill, Sr. and Mary Louise Davis Sherrill of Huntersville; her husband Sylvester BrevardBrown; and her brother Rush Sherrill, Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Clement Emehel (Shawana), Johneric Emehel (Toni), Terry Emehel and Perry Brown; her grandchildren, Chloe Emehel, Bryson Emehel, Madison Emehel, Morgan Emehel, Grace Emehel, Xavier Brown, Paris Brown and Tressica Wallace; her great grandchildren, Isaiah Wallace, Brie Wallace, Langston Wallace and Cree Williams; her siblings, Doris Sherrill, Gwendolyn Parker, Bevelyn Sherrill and Terry Sherrill (Gloria); and her sisters-in-law, Ann Sherrill and Helen Rivers. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS. In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to the Annie Sherrill Brown and Emehel Family Endowed Scholarship at North Carolina Central University, honoring Annie's lifelong commitment to education and service.
