He is survived by: his wife Beverly Diane Owens Self; his children, Dale Lester Self, Wendy Oyola (Abe Oyola), Reba Lynn Wright, Marissa Cooper Winstead (Marshall Winstead) and John Andrew Self (Lacrissa Jacobs); and his grandchildren, Briona, Lauren, Kristen, Devin, Tyler, Hailey, Paige, Madison, John Jr., Elissa and Serenity. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
