It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine A. Sherbert of Lincolnton, North Carolina, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Gene Sherbert; her parents, Glenn Bowers and Irene Bowers; her brother Michael James Bowers; and her sons-in-law, Josh Jenkins and Cecil Woodruff.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Sherbert (Lisa), Tony Sherbert (Teresa), Laurinda Woodruff (John Brooks), Scott Sherbert (Beverly), Angela Gonzalez (Rainer) and Cathy Jean Sherbert-Jenkins; and her sister Glenda Houdek (Verlin). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Celebration Center at Jenkins Funeral Home (4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jenkins Funeral Home (4081 Startown Rd, Newton, NC 28658).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carolina Caring or to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
