Doyle Lane left this world on May 16, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grim Doyle Rhyne and Virginia Mosteller Rhyne; his wife Annie Inez Burnett Rhyne; his children, William Doyle Rhyne and Jennie Lynn Chapman; his brother Tony Lee Rhyne; and his great grandchild Aspyn Strange.

He is survived by: his children, Dean Rhyne (Tamara) of Crouse, Jamie Rhyne of Lincolnton and Glenna Strange (Joey) of Lincolnton; his son-in-law Todd Chapman of Lincolnton; and his brother Steve Rhyne (Terry) of Crouse. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
