He is survived by: his children, Russell "Rusty" Leonhardt (Neresa) of Cherryville and Ann Marie Starkey (Steven) of Lincolnton; his sister Gale Deal of Lincolnton; his grandsons, Jordan Leonhardt (Tiffany) of Gastonia and Garrett Starkey of Cramerton; his great grandchild Landry Leonhardt; and his caregivers, Lisa Navey, McKenzie Bivens, Sheila Rudisill, Cynthia Bryson and Elizabeth Falvey.
