He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Ray Calloway and Pansy Swoner Davis; his son Ronnie Lee Callaway; and his brothers, Harvey "Pete" Calloway, Dewey Thomas Calloway and William Grady Calloway.
He is survived by: his daughter Teresa C. Leonard of Lincolnton; his siblings, Ronald Calloway (Shirley) of Lenoir and Kathy Jane Grigg of Lincolnton; and his grandson Clint Campbell (Jorjana) of Newton. He is also survived by nephews and great neices and nephews.
