He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Nelson Sherrill, Sr. and Willie Mae Thompson Sherrill; his wife Kathy Setzer Sherrill; and his daughter Melanie Goulds Shultz. He is survived by: his sons-in-law, Ronnie Goulds and Patrick Shultz; and his grandchildren, Alyssa Goulds, Kaylee Goulds, Kelly Shultz and Garrison Shultz. He is also survived by his family, friends, coworkers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Bennett Funeral Service (7878 NC-16, Newton, NC 28658). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
