He is survived by: his wife Margaret King Baker; his children, Krystal Bowen (John), Harold Richard Baker, Carolyn Brown (Chris), Anita Irene Huffseteller, Donna Upchurch (Eric), Richard Harold Baker, Robert Buren Hutchison (Angela Butler Hutchson) and Joseph Odelle Baker (Shelene); and his siblings, Sylvia Whitesides (Robert), Roger Baker (Vicki), Fred Baker (Marie), Everette Baker (Angie) and JD Baker (Pat). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lincolnton Church of God (1435 Riverview Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:45 PM at the same location.
