She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Wilson and Ernest Jane Rhyne Gates; her husband Robert T. Alexander; and her siblings, Jim, William, Basil, Larry, Reid Gates and Lois Gates.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Steve Alexander (Gail) of Lincolnton, NC, Cynthia A. Ballard (Ricky) of Lincolnton, NC and Janet A. Garland (Dennis) of Lincolnton, NC; and her siblings, Don Gates (Brenda) of Lincolnton, NC and Candace Miller (Randy) of Morganton, NC. She is also survived by four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery (2582 Gastonia Hwy, Lincolnton, NC 28092).
